Rafael Fernando Jozefa, better known as Raffy Jozefa, began his baseball career in

Aruba in the Little League of the U.S. Keds.

 In 1967, he moved up to Class AA Baseball, playing for the Heineken team in Aruba.

His first representation for the Netherlands Antilles was in 1968 in Holland and Italy.

In 1979, Raffy achieved his first triple crown with the BBC Royal Scorpions, becoming

the champion of Curaçao and the Netherlands Antilles.

During that year, Raffy broke his own home run record with 16. Throughout his 19

seasons of baseball in Curaçao, he emerged as the Batting Leader (9 times), Home

Run Leader (8 times), and Runs Batted In Leader (11 times).

Raffy was part of the Aruba Selection from 1967 to 1969, the Curaçao Selection from

1970 to 1988, and the Netherlands Antilles Selection from 1967 to 1988.

In Aruba in 1970, Raffy was selected for both baseball and volleyball, but he

ultimately chose to stick with baseball.
